Global Investment Bank is currently seeking an application developer to join the Margins Technology team in Hong Kong.
Job Duties:
The role includes developing new applications and functionalities that support the Asia Prime Brokerage Risk Management primarily, as well as other business units in the firm. The role also include enhancing functionalities in existing applications developed by the larger global team. The candidate will be expected to participate in all phases of the software development cycle, from requirements gathering through coding, testing, implementation and post implementation support. The candidate should be strong at problem solving and should be able to investigate in complex problems quickly. The candidate will also gain exposure to the vastly changing business environment and will be able to learn more financial knowledge through his projects. The candidate will join a team of 2 in Hong Kong and be part of a larger global team. They will be expected to work closely with the team members in other locations.
Skills Required:
- Solid Programming skills in both Java and C#;
- C++ would be a plus;
- Unix/Linux, and a scripting language (Perl or Shell);
- Sybase/DB2;
- SQL Server / MDX would be a plus;
- Familiarity with software development life cycles;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree;
- 2 ~ 3 Years experience.
